The Indianapolis Colts, once the Baltimore Colts, began their career in Indianapolis on March 28, 1984. The Colts have had a successful team history in Indianapolis that includes acheiving three World Championships and 10 Division or Conference Titles, as well as inducting many team members and coaches into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Regular football season runs from September through December. Home games take place at the RCA Dome.

In the 1976-77 season, the Indiana Pacers joined the NBA. After struggling as a team for more than a decade, in the mid-1990s the Pacers became one of the leagues top teams in the Eastern Conference. The regular season schedule runs from October to June. The Conseco Fieldhouse is the Pacers' home stadium.
